NOTICIAS DESDE HOMEROOM TEACHER...
Saludos a las familias y a los (as) estudiantes de 6°B:
Primero que todo, quiero agradecerles por su calidez y la espectacular bienvenida con la que me recibieron hoy...Detalles como el de hoy, me hacen sentir privilegiada y absolutamente convencida de que el oficio de ser maestra sigue teniendo gran eco en la comunidad educativa, es decir, en mis estudiantes. Una vez más, les reitero mi afecto y disposición para que juntos (as) llevemos a cabo un adecuado proceso educativo.
Por otro lado, deseo que el uso del uniforme mejore cada vez más; para ello, es necesario recordar, entre otras cosas, que sólo hasta grado 6° se permite la falda pantalón para las chicas, lo que implica que ya en 7° deben usar falda. En el encabezado de este mensaje, les socializo un comunicado que desde Coordinación se nos facilitó, con el fin de recordar las normas básicas del buen uso del uniforme. Espero que hagan especial énfasis en la situación del uso de sacos que no pertenecen al colegio.

The test about Integers is scheduled for this Friday October 21st.
In the meantime, you must practice the new content "EQUATIONS" and this is the homework to be turned in the same Friday October 21st:

Go to sections 11.2 and 11.3 (about solving equations using the addition and multiplication principles)
Solve IN YOUR NOTEBOOK:

Show all your work and calculations.

Use inverse operations to cancel numbers

MATH: IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Hello kiddos
Now that you are all getting ready for the coming break try to use that time wisely.
You should relax and get some rest to recharge your batteries for the second part of this first period but you also must practice and review those contents in which you feel you are not strong enough yet.
Keep in mind that a few days after we come back from this break, you are going to take the accumulative exams of each subject. These exams represent 30% of your final grade.
Now, about math, you must be responsible and decide whether you need to practice or not. My suggestion is for you to practice even if you are currently passing the class. How do you practice on your own? By using all the tools and resources found in www.coursecompass.com.
Check you notebook and the grades you have got in your quizzes and focus on those contents in which you had special difficulties. Go to the corresponding chapter in the platform and solve the problems in the Multimedia Textbook Exercise Set or in the Extra Practice Exercises. You can also watch the videos or go to the Tracked Tutorial Exercises to get some extra support.
BE RESPONSIBLE! You are high school students and you need to be aware of the amount of work required to learn and to pass the mathematics class. I am not going to demand this homework from you but if you decide to turn it in, I will grade it as an extra credit.

Este mensaje es una invitación a que los estudiantes no solamente aprovechen la semana de receso para descansar y disfrutar del tiempo con la familia, sino también para reforzar los contenidos en cada materia con el fin de prepararse para las pruebas acumulativas de fin de período. Esta pruebas serán a las pocas semanas del regreso de estas cortas vacaciones y representan el 30% de la calificación final de cada clase.

MATH TEST ABOUT INTEGERS
Hello kiddos
Since some of the students in both classes are still having difficulties applying the rules for Integers, we are going to have a big test the first class after the school break of next week.
Everyone is responsible for practicing during this short vacation according to his or her own needs. Some of you already mastered the operations with Integers, but most of you still need to practice some more.
This is the homework that you should solve in your notebooks in order to prepare yourselves for the coming test. This assignment is not mandatory and then, everyone must make a decision about doing it:
Go to www.coursecompass.com and find the EXTRA PRACTICE EXERCISES in each section (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of Integers).
Solve the even problems in your notebook.

Debido a que algunos estudiantes de ambos grados aún tienen dificultades operando con números enteros, se ha programado una evaluación para la primera clase de matemáticas inmediatamente después de regresar de la semana de receso.
Cada estudiante es responsable de decidir si necesita practicar durante dicha semana para esta prueba . Aquellos que aún sientan que no están listos deben hacer la siguiente tarea que será entregada el mismo día de la evaluación:
